Here are the key dates for the 2026 tax season in Canada:
February 23, 2026: Start date to file your 2025 income tax and benefit return online.
April 30, 2026: Deadline for most individuals to file their 2025 income tax and benefit return and pay any taxes owed.
June 15, 2026: Deadline for self-employed individuals to file their 2025 income tax and benefit return.
March 2, 2026: Last day to contribute to your RRSP for the 2025 tax year.
May 1, 2026: Interest begins accruing on unpaid taxes owed by April 30, 2026.
